    Default Brokerage stocks good buy

Brokerage stocks were high flyers in today’s trade. During the past months they were significantly down. With volumes coming down the brokerage business was affected negatively. Not only FII but also retail participation was low. But today the stocks bounced back with good volumes and were up anywhere between 5% to 20%. Among the leaders were India Bulls Finance, Edelweiss Capital they were up 20%.

By the way,Reliance Mutual Fund has decided to extend the closing date of New Fund Offer (NFO) of Reliance Dual Advantage Fixed Tenure Fund - Plan A, a close ended income scheme. The revised closing date of NFO will be 24 May 2010 instead of 17 May 2010.

The investment objective of the scheme is to generate returns and reduce interest rate volatility, through a portfolio of fixed income securities that are maturing on or before the maturity of the scheme along with capital appreciation through equity exposure.
