Virgin Mobile in association with its Indian partner Tata Teleservices has made announcement about the launching of its new sleek, color screen, FM-Radio enabled phone, named ‘vTrendy’ in the Indian market.

Targeting youth, the newly launched phone comes packed with a lifetime validity voucher plus a starter user kit for its customers.

The company claimed that ‘vTrendy’ is the only phone that comes at a real affordable price with a variety of unique features.

Weighing just 65 gms, the vTrendy sports a 65K color screen, speaker phone, organizer, FM radio, stereo headset, FM and LMS (Long Messaging Services).

The phonebook has a capacity for 500 contacts, with an additional 150 contacts on RUIM or SIM card.

While lecturing on the occasion, Mr. P Madhavan, chief sales and distribution officer of Virgin Mobile, stated, “Youth today are faced with a situation where they have no stylish ‘CDMA’ phones in the price range below Rs 1,500. Even a GSM service provider's handset bundled offer does not really appeal to them because of lack of attractive handsets. vTrendy is a no compromise deal for youth since it combines a stylish handset to suit their budget, is loaded with features such as FM Radio, 65K color, and Long Messaging Service (LMS), and is bundled with an offer tailored just for them.”

Moreover, the phone offers one-touch access to Virgin Mobile’s VAS data portal called ‘Vbytes’, where users can get limitless access to Virgin Mobile selected content and other applications for a charge of Rs 5 per day.

Priced at Rs 1,499, the new ‘vTrendy’ phone is now available across 15k outlets across India and 1,000 modern retail outlets that include The Mobile Store, Univercell, Croma, Convergem, Big C, Vishal Mega Mart, Vijay Sales, and Sangeetha, among others. Besides, it will be also be available at 34 booths in malls around the country.
