The My Account section lists the accounts which have been recognised. This may include your individual account(s) and your institution's account.

My active account:
This is the account that you are currently using. This means that any alerts or marked lists you create during the session are stored against this account. You can access subscriptions owned by any of the other accounts.
You can change your active account by selecting the [make list my active account] option in the My other accounts list.

My other accounts:
Other accounts that you can manage are listed in this section. To create marked lists for this account, or to manage this account's alerts you need to make it your active account. Do this by clicking the make this my active account option. You can jump directly to managing the address or login information for the account by selecting the [edit details] option or the [edit logins] option.

Inherited accounts:
You can access content for subscriptions owned by the inherited account but you cannot manage this account in any way.
If you are an individual user working from within an institution your inherited account will most likely be your institution's account.
If you manage an account for a library department the institution's main account will be listed as an account you have inherited.
Consortia accounts are listed as inherited accounts.

Linked accounts:
Linked accounts are additional accounts belonging to your institution. There are often several of these due to different mailing addresses for different publications. You can access content for subscriptions owned by these accounts.
If you are a manager of an institutional account, please note that these accounts are linked to the account you can manage. Any IP details registered against the account you can manage will provide access to the subscriptions held by the linked accounts.
