Sri Lankan Central Bank Keeps Rates High
The Sri Lankan Central Bank has kept its rates at a higher level in Asia. Presently, the bank has maintained a repurchase rate of 10.5 perecent.
The bank has felt that a rising borrowing cost may hinder economic growth of the country's economy.
With regards to the problem of Inflation, the bank thinks that its under control.
Srilankan Economy is expected to grow by 7 percent in the third quarter. The economy expanded by healthy performance in industrial sector, and services sector.
A recovery was marked in the agriculture sector led by higher production in tea and rubber.
