Advance Tax collections of Rs 20,700 Cr till June 20, up 27.1% over last year period; adv tax by Tata Steel at Rs 356 Cr, up 61.8%

CBDT sources said that advance tax collections are of Rs 20,700 crore till June 20, up 27.1% over last year period. Advance Tax paid by ONGC is Rs 1342 crore, up 31.9%, SAIL Rs 457 crore, up 1.56%, LIC Rs 435 crore, up 22.1%, NMDC Rs 400 crore, up 81.8%, Tata Steel Rs 356 crore, up 61.8%, RIL Rs 340 crore, up 16.2%, Gail India Rs 335 crore, up 142.7% and BSNL Rs 312 crore, up 197.4%.
